During the year, a Presidential Citation for balanced Club achievement was received. This
was the first time that this award was granted to any club in our district.
Bus/Theatre Parties saw “The Winslow Boy”, “A Swell Party”, and
“Ain’t Misbehaving.”
We visited the Hunter Wineries by bus.
The club participated in the supervision at the opening of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel raising
funds for building a Deaf & Blind School at Penrith.
Ten thousand dollars was raised at a night at the “Stepping out” restaurant
We visited Arnott’s Biscuit factory.
A civic reception was arranged for the visiting Canadian Group Study Team
