John, with his father Jim, was a director of their family Company,motor parts retailers,“Auto One.”  John was a President of Apex, Chairman of Kinderlan Christian School and Church Elder. Since resigning from Rotary in 2001 he became President of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association.

During the year, visits were made to the Penrith Sake factory and to Cumberland Newspapers.

 

Assistance was given to club member, Les Gould, on a Charity bike ride from Bogan Gate to Penrith.

 

Assistance was given to the Rotary Wing of the Westmead Children’s Hospital.

 

The Club gave a computer to a partly blind young girl to enable her to read.

 

Help was given to the Deaf & Blind Children’s School at Glenmore Park in the organisation of a craft and doll show.

 

A wheel chair was given to a young lady disabled through meningococcus.
