Charles was in charge of Penrith Fire Station when he joined Rotary. Since that time he rose to Acting Deputy Chief Officer for NSW. He has received the Queen’s Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and a Citation from the Board of Fire Commissions. He has been involved with Meals on Wheels for sixteen years.

A combined effort with Penrith Valley and Nepean Rotary Clubs, the $1,400,000 Hope Cottage was completed. The Opening ceremony was attended by many dignitaries including, the Attorney General, our Federal Member and Penrith’s Mayor. The club received a “Centennial Citation” for the project.

 

Our Barbeque catering Caravan was built and was used at the Cancer Council walkathon and at Bunning’s Hardware.

 

We gave $9,000 to the Tsunami appeal

 

The Christmas party involved a cruise on Sydney Harbour

 

Factory visits were made to ASP Plastics and Chris White’s L W Contracting
