This was John’s third Presidency,having been President of Gilgandra and Port Hacking Clubs. He founded the Coranulla Probos Club, was Deputy Mayor of Gilgandra, President of the Orana Tourist Association and recipient of a ten year award by the Shires Association of NSW for Services to the Community.

Nancy Bird -Watson

As it was the year of the Sydney Olympics, a Friendship house was set up at Borec House in Penrith to provide information for international visitors.

We constructed a mobile trailer/BBQ.

We visited Custom Coaches to see how buses and coaches are constructed

A famous guest speaker was aviatrix Nancy Bird -Watson
