Having been born and educated in England, Bert then spent eighteen years farming in Rhodesia  (now known as Zimbabwe) and Kenya, before coming to Australia. When he joined our club he was a manager in the Poultry Industry.

During the year, a Teddy Bears Picnic was held at Warragamba.

 

A play area was built for Nepean District Hospital Children’s Ward.

 

Assistance was given towards medical supplies to treat leprosy in the Philippines.

 

 

 

The Club toured the Telephone Exchange.

 

The club participated in a symposium to discuss the problems of unemployment.
