Alf was the proprietor of two Penrith Service Stations from which he developed an Ice business and a car and truck hire service.

During the year, South Penrith Rotary Club was sponsored. Arthur Bennett being the Foundation President.

 

A “Citizen of the Year” Award commenced.

 

Door Knocks were held for the Red Cross, Blind Society and the Red Shield.

 

Assistance was given to the victims of the Granville Train Disaster.

We helped to establish the“Q” Theatre.

 

Over two thousand students attended the Careers night held at Cambridge Park High School

 

Entertainment was provided for the Pensioners Anniversary Dinner

 

Interclub soccer matches were held against Windsor and Richmond.

 

The “Rotary Revue” had members and wives in an hilarious uproar.
