Originally trained as a mechanic, Barry was a manager for W J Bale & Son Bus Company. This company was taken over by Bosnjak Bros later renamed Westbus.

Barry received a prestigious award in 2005.  It was a “Commitment to Service Citation” for  services to Rotary. Only five of these have ever been presented in our District.

Hunter Valley

During the year, enjoyable motor coach tours were arranged to Canberra, Hunter Valley and Sydney Theatres.

 

A night with artist, Jack Absalom, raised funds for “Insearch”, to help fight drugs.

 

Assistance was given to the Nepean Rescue Squad for another vehicle.

 

The Club sponsored the Canadian Group Study exchange team for their final five days.

 

Thirty  surplus beds obtained from Jamison Hospital were sent to the Solomon Islands.

 

Our first student embarked to Vanuatu on the PACE programme.
