Jack was the owner of a building contracting business, having been a former President of Penrith Apex and Commodore of the Nepean Power Boat & Ski Club.

During the year a coffee bar was provided for the out-patients waiting room at Nepean Hospital.

Second shelter was built in Judges Park.

A picnic and speed boat rides were provided for the Crippled Children.

Aid was given to the War widows Guild and the Eunogouia Bush Nursing Centre.
