Hec was the manager Qantas catering department. He was on the Parents committee that built the 1st Penrith Boy Scouts building and was responsible for building the Aged Citizen’s Centre, He was Chairman of the Board of the Governor Phillip Hospital. He was also President of Penrith’s Meals on Wheels.

During the year, together with other service clubs, a Rodeo was conducted.

Christmas food parcels were distributed to the needy.

A public address system was provided to the Police Boys Club.

A short wave therapy unit was donated to the Governor Phillip Hospital.
