“Pop” was the proprietor of the Nepean picture
theatre in High Street Penrith. He was also an alderman and Mayor of the council. He remained a member and constant attendee
of Rotary until his death in 1972.
During his year
Assistance
was given to the expanding Nepean Hospital and furnishings were given to the New Penrith High
School which was about to be opened

The First Penrith Rotary Ball was held
Assistance was given to flood victims in coastal NSW and the Nepean Valley
who had lost their homes.
Membership had now reached thirty-eight.
