Alan was a partner in a firm of Sydney Architects. He served as President and Deputy Mayor of the Blue Mountains Shire, President of the Nepean Agricultural Society, Foundation Chairman of the Blue Mountains County Council, Chairman of the Board of Nepean Hospital. Many public buildings were designed by him.

1st Penrith Boy Scout's Hall

Assistance was given to appeals for the Greek Earthquake and the Mayors Flood relief fund.

 

Proceeds from the “Camp Fire Ball” and Rotary Ball went to complete the project of building the 1st Penrith Scout Hall in Lethbridge Street.

 

The Club furnished a new Class room at Penrith Infants School.

 

 

 

Members transported Crippled Children to meet the Queen in Sydney.
