Roy was the proprietor of an electrical goods store in High Street Penrith. He later purchased a Motel in Faulconbridge. He retired from Rotary in 1969 to retire to the Gold Coast.

During the year club visits were made to Chatswood, Ashfield, Camden, Bankstown, Hurstville, Randwick, Parramatta, Lithgow and Katoomba. Return visits were received from Chatswood, Lithgow, Parramatta and Katoomba clubs.

 

Nine Asian students were hosted in various Rotarian’s home for a weekend.

 

Penrith sponsored its first club, the Rotary Club of Windsor. Its Charter President was Brian Pulsford.

 

Our first Debutante Ball was held.

 

A 16 mm sound projector was provided for the newly built Nepean Hospital.
