Nick was the first Greek born president of a Rotary Club in Australia. He owned "Aroney's" café restaurant in Penrith which he established in 1922. He was also a foundation member of Penrith Bowling Club.

During the year, a piano was donated to Penrith High school.

Members were encouraged to give work experience to School children during Christmas vacation.

With the influx of European migrants (New Australians) members were encouraged to assist in their assimilation into the community.
